Project Description

DJG provided integrated architectural, interior design, mechanical. electrical, and plumbing engineering services as the design-build partner to David Nice Builders for New Kent County’s new 8,800-SF Animal Shelter. The single-story facility supports intake, adoption, administration, and animal care through efficient space separation, durable and sanitary finishes, specialized ventilation and waste systems, outdoor dog runs and livestock paddocks, and full standby power. DJG’s coordinated design-build approach emphasized constructability, operational efficiency, permitting, and long-term durability.
